OpenAI has launched a new feature called 'Study Mode' in the Chatbot Chatbot Chatbot Chattabip. This feature will help develop students like a real teacher to develop their own analysis and thinking. If the study mode is on, the ChatzP will explain the matter to the user by step by step by answering the direct answer. In many cases, students will refuse to answer directly if they do not show any interest in understanding anything.
Study mode has been launched last Tuesday for users of the Chatzipit Free, Plus, Pro and Team Plan. The company said they will also open the feature for the ChatzP's 'Edu' customers in the next few weeks. There are main students in this customer whose school authorities have bought a Chatjip plan for the entire school.
US research says many students use ChatzPT at school. Although it is as helpful as a personal teacher, the students' thinking may be reduced due to excess dependence. According to a study published last June, those who use the ChatzPT in writing compositions are less active than the Google search users or people who are not using any technology.
It has sparked widespread discussion in the field of education since the ChatGP was launched in 2022. At that time, many US school authorities banned the use of this technology. However, by 2021, many schools lift the ban and acknowledge that the ChatGP is now part of the student's lives.
Now, by launching study mode, the OpenAI wants to make the ChatzPP a teaching assistant tool. In April this year, Chatzipt's rival AI Chatbot Claud launched a similar feature called 'Learning Mode'.
However, some questions about the effectiveness of study mode remain. Students can easily turn off the study mode and move into general mode and then they will get direct answers as before.
OpenAI's education vice -president Lia Balski said no arrangements were made to force students to study mode for parents or administrators in study mode. However, such control is being considered in the future.
As a result, the students have to be interested in learning themselves. Launching this mode with the purpose of completing the assignment is not the result.
The company sees the study mode as the first step in the education sector of OpenAI. OpenAI also explained the plan to publish more detailed information on how students are using the generative AI in the future.
