There are numerous issues hanging over India. All issues should be resolved fairly and on the basis of rights. Apart from this, Ruhin Hossain Prince, General Secretary of the Communist Party of Bangladesh (CPB) commented that no relationship can progress.
He said these things at the rally and protest march organized by the Left Democratic Alliance in front of the National Press Club on Wednesday (December 4) 'Punish those who attacked the Bangladesh Embassy in India and insulted the national flag, build the unity of the people of both countries, protect communal harmony'.
Ruhin Hossain Prince said, what happened in Agartala, does it fall under any diplomatic etiquette? The government of that country is responsible for protecting the embassy of another country in one country. They (India) have failed. Immediately give exemplary punishment to the perpetrators of Agartala incident and stop playing the communal card.
He said, we have many problems with India for a long time. India used to say miscreants did it by killing at the border. And the previous government of our country used to speak in their tone. They (India) have unequal trade with us. In Sundarbans they have done Rampal Project in the name of Friendship Company. Companies that are being done in the name of friendship – if this continues, we will have permanent enmity with India.
He also said that the water source of 54 rivers of our country is in India. Why do we still not get water? Why is the Teesta problem not solved? Why do we cry for water? Why not solve these problems?
Demanding the withdrawal of Mamata Banerjee's statement, Bazlur Rashid Feroze, General Secretary of Bangladesh Samajtantrik Dal-Basad said, “You have spoken about sending UN peacekeeping forces to Bangladesh.” We strongly condemn and protest this incident. The people of Bangladesh are angry with Mamata's statement. I demand immediate withdrawal of this statement.
BASS (Marxist) coordinator Masood Rana was presided over by other leaders of the alliance during the rally and protest march.
