Sheikh Hasina is hinting, if Awami League returns, they will fire first at Tariq Rahman – NCP Chief Coordinator Nasiruddin Patwari commented. He made this comment while addressing the National Citizen Party (NCP) joining ceremony at the Rajshahi Zilla Parishad auditorium on Saturday afternoon.
Nasiruddin Patwari said, “Sheikh Hasina is peeping.” Awami League is marching in different places. We will warn the government if Sheikh Hasina can come to Bangladesh; Then they will attack Tariq Rahman first. Tariq Rahman’s history should be known. At that time they killed Ziaur Rahman.’
He said, ‘If he does not know the history, then the same fate as his father may befall the child. For this we will say to Tariq Rahman – Don’t compromise with Awami League. But we are fighting on the same front.’
Criticizing the various cards given by the government, he said, ‘He became the Prime Minister of Bangladesh from Rajshahi. The one who has become the Prime Minister today in Bhagyachaka is from my birthplace Chandpur, and I have come to his birthplace Rajshahi. Chandpur has not developed, Rajshahi has also not developed. Just how many cards we got, the cards to carry around in the pocket. If the money does not come in this card, then we will also make a card, the name of that card is red card. We will hand over this red card to the government.
Nasiruddin Patwari warned the government, “If you don’t implement reforms in Bangladesh, we can’t guarantee whether you will have mattresses in Bangladesh or not.” Because people have voted. The people gave the mandate. If anyone wants to kick this people’s box, we won’t hesitate to kick their mattress.’
Referring to the Farakka Long March Day, he said, ‘On this day a big war was declared against India from Rajshahi. On this day, Maulana Bhasani said against India that she will not give up her right to water. BNP has stolen the brand of that Bhasani and has today adopted a knee-jerk foreign policy against India. If you can take Bhasani’s brand, then you must also take his principles. If not, return Bhasani’s marks.’
He said, ‘The Indian army in Bangladesh, in civil format, is Awami League. There will be no compromise with this India-centric force. A kneeling foreign policy will not work with India. If you say Bangladesh first, then how are you killed at the border?’
Criticizing the digging of canals as there is no water in the river, the NCP leader said, ‘They mean science against us. If a canal is to be dug, then water must first be brought to the river. Now if India goes ahead and starts bowing, will we have any action? For this I will tell the government, we want water in the river of Rajshahi residents. We need water to save our lives. I will tell the people of Rajshahi, if there is no water in the Padma river, you will go to Dhaka and make a long march towards India.’
NCP Rajshahi Metropolitan Convenor Mobaswer Ali presided over the joining ceremony. Sarjis Alam, the party’s northern chief organizer, joint member secretary ABM Gazi Salauddin Ahmed, SM Saif Mostafiz, organizing secretary Imran Imon, national women’s power convener Monira Sharmin and others were present. Atiqur Rahman, Member Secretary of NCP, Mahanagar conducted the program.
