NCP informed the US ambassador to reform and elections

Leaders of the Jatiya Citizens Party (NCP) have highlighted the state reform, the upcoming Jatiya Sangsad elections and the upcoming Jatiya Sangsad elections, and the acting US ambassador to the US Ambassador. An hour -long meeting was held at the ambassador’s residence in Gulshan in the capital on Monday.

NCP Joint Member Secretary (Media) Mushfiq Us Salehin confirmed the matter. The delegation led by NCP convenor Nahid Islam was the Member Secretary Akhtar Hossain, Senior Joint Member Secretary Tasnim Zara and Joint Member Secretary Alauddin Mohammad.

The meeting was attended by Political and Economic Counselor Eric Gilan of the US Embassy, Political Officer James Stuart and Political Specialist Feroz Ahmed.

According to a NCP notice, the meeting exchanged views on the issue of mutual interest, the recent situation in Bangladesh, the outline of reform, the democratic process, the upcoming national elections and the possibility of strengthening bilateral relations. The Ambassador was notified of the July Declaration, the July Certificate, the July Journey, and the party’s actions. Both sides emphasized on increasing mutual understanding and constructive cooperation between the people of the two countries.

Asked about the meeting, the embassy spokesman did not comment. However, sources said the ambassador wanted to know about the NCP’s position on the state reform and participation in the national elections, relations with the United States and the party’s position on regional and international issues. NCP leaders informed the Ambassador on various issues including establishing political stability in the country, trial of murder in July -Agust last year, participating in the upcoming elections.

The NCP leaders hoped that the United States would be sympathetic to Bangladesh on counter -tariff and the US envoy assured the US interest and cooperation in Bangladesh’s democratic progress.
