2025 was a good year for the mortgage marketdata certified by the increase in the main indicators, as emerged from the joint Observatory Facile.it-Mutui.itstarting from the average amount requested by aspiring borrowers, grew by 3% on an annual basis and reached 138,538 euros.
Also positive are the data relating to younger people who – despite the objective difficulties they often have to deal with – represented a fundamental portion of the mortgage sector; in 2025, according to the Observatory, 39% of total financing requests – almost 4 out of 10, in practice – arrived give an under 36 (percentage increasing by 7% compared to 2024), while if you look at the first home mortgages, 1 in 2 requests comes from a prospective borrower under 36 years of age. Fundamental, in this sense, was the First Home Guarantee Fund: according to data fromOsservatorio Facile.itmore than one under 36 in three (35%) used the state guarantee to submit loan applications to the credit institution.
In 2025 the average value of the property subject to the mortgage was approximately 208.500 eurostable compared to 2024.
