Elon Musk, founder of Tesla, SpaceX and Neurolink, hailed Israel as ‘number one’ in innovation and technological progress in the world. He made this comment while participating in a special interview at the ‘Samson International Smart Mobility Summit 2026’ held in Tel Aviv, Israel.
In this conference organized under the leadership of the Innovation and Smart Mobility Department of the Ministry of Transport and Road Safety of Israel, Musk said, ‘I am a big fan of the entrepreneurial culture that is emerging from Israel. The country has achieved tremendous success in terms of population. Israel is undoubtedly number one in the world when it comes to innovation.’
Musk said that Tesla’s self-driving car technology could be launched in Israel very soon. In this, the people of the country will directly experience artificial intelligence (AI) driving technology.
About the future transportation system, Musk said that in the next ten years, about 90 percent of the world’s cars will be driven by artificial intelligence instead of humans. He said, ‘The car will drive you, not you the car.’ He claims that Tesla’s camera and AI-based software will be able to drive safer than humans.
One of the world’s top rich technology entrepreneurs also expressed optimism about robot technology. According to Musk, in the future the world may have more intelligent robots than humans. He said, ‘Humanoid robots will be everywhere. Who wouldn’t want to have a robot as a personal assistant?’
He believes that when robots and artificial intelligence can work more efficiently than humans, the global economy can grow hundreds of times.
At the end of the discussion, Musk also highlighted his dreams for the future of humanity. He envisions a world where everyone has access to better healthcare, all diseases are treatable and no one goes hungry. At the same time, he called for a world free from war and conflict, where technology would work for the welfare of all mankind, not just a few people.
