DMP's rickshaw is not working


Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) traffic department has set up a special trap (rickshaw trapper) in some places to prevent the entrance of the rickshaw-autorickshaw on the main roads of the capital. But it is not going to stop it. The rickshaw-autorickshaw is going on on the main road without crossing the obstacle. Traffic is increasing.

Experts say that it is not possible to control the rickshaw-autorickshaw by obstructing the road. Registration should be brought into a management. Then the drivers will avoid these roads only if the law is broken.

According to information from various private organizations, there are 3-5 lakh battery-powered auto-rickshaws across the country. Most of these are in the capital. The number of battery -powered rickshaws has increased in the last few years in Dhaka. Earlier, most of them were in oligarchy. However, after August 7 last year, the capital's non -traffic police were on the main road, even in the elevated expressway and terminal areas of the airport. Later, the traffic police returned to the road, but the battery rickshaw could not be removed from the main road. Due to their reckless movement, traffic laws, traffic on various roads has intensified. The townspeople have to suffer in extreme suffering. Police also have to eat frost in control of the rickshaw-autorickshaw. In such a situation, the traffic department of Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) plans to install 'tracker' to control the rickshaw-autorickshaw.

According to DMP sources, the rickshaw trapper was installed in three places in the capital last March. The 'rickshaw traper' was installed on the Battery Goli, Vikarunnisa Noon School and College in front of the Gate 1 of the Kakrail Institution of Diploma Engineers, and in front of the old Ramna police station. However, before the Eid, the 'rickshaw trapper' was lifted from the road in front of the old Ramna police station.

In the last two days, these three places have been visited, 'rickshaw trapper' has been built with iron sheets like the speed of the road. That trapper is kept in the face of the main road. But the rickshaw-autorickshaw is running over the traper. Sometimes the passenger, sometimes the rickshaw is being lifted by the passengers. Some are crossing the wheel in the trapor a little landscape or curvedly. However, some rickshaw wheels can also be trapped by crossing the trapper.

Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) Additional Commissioner (Traffic) Md. Sarwar told today's magazine that the rickshaw-autorickshaw movement was experimentally set up in the face of the prohibited road. If the experimental initiative is implemented, 'rickshaw trapper' will also be set up on other roads in the city with the help of the two city corporations. However, the trapper will be further modernized, so that the rickshaw-autorickshaw cannot be crossed.

However, Professor of BUET Department of Machinery Dr. Md. Ehsan told today's magazine that controlling all roads is not possible by controlling the rickshaw-autorickshaw on the main road. It will disrupt the other cars. So the rickshaw-autorickshaw should be registered and bring it into a system.
