There is a continuous shortage of LPG in Shamli, Uttar Pradesh. Long queues are forming at the gas agency since 7 am in the morning, despite this people are not able to get gas on time. Elderly women and men are also forced to stand in queues for hours. People say that even after several days they are not getting gas.
Since morning, a crowd of people has been gathering in front of Hare Krishna Indane Seva Gas Agency of Shamli to book gas. People say that they have booked gas online several days ago and also have the DAC number. But, cylinders are not being given to them from the agency and warehouse.
Gas not available even after booking
People alleged that the agency employees are asking consumers to get private slips made, only then they are talking about providing gas. This is the reason why people who come to get gas are forced to make rounds for several days one after the other. Some people say that even after 10 to 15 days they have not received the gas.
People forced to wander for gas
The biggest problem is being faced by the elderly and women, who have been waiting in queues since morning. The situation becomes even more difficult amidst the heat and crowd. People alleged that when they go to the warehouse, they are sent from there to the agency and from the agency they are again being sent to the warehouse.
Sunita, an elderly woman, said, “We have been standing in the queue since 7 in the morning, the number has not come yet, we are facing a lot of trouble, we are not getting gas.” Another youth, Ajju Arya, said, “It has been 15 days since I booked the gas but I have not received the cylinder yet, every time they say something new.”
Now anger is also being seen among the people regarding the gas crisis. On Monday, a commotion-like situation broke out in front of the agency, after which the police had to reach the spot and control the situation.
