The price of jet fuel (aircraft fuel) has been increased by Tk 89.59 per litre. On domestic routes, the price of 112 per liter has been increased from 41 paisa to 202 taka. International routes have been increased from 7384 cents to 1.32 USD per litre.
The new rates were announced in a notification issued today, Tuesday, which will be effective from 12:00 PM on the same day. Bangladesh Energy Regulatory Commission (BERC) said that the price has been increased to coordinate with the international market.
Earlier, the price of jet fuel was increased on March 8. On the other hand, on the night of March 18, BERC issued a price hike notification, which was again suspended within an hour.
BERC announced jet fuel prices for the first time in May 2025. It was then said that coordination with the international market will be done every month. If the price increases in the international market, it will increase in Bangladesh, if it decreases, it will decrease. Until then, Bangladesh Petroleum Corporation (BPC) has fixed the prices from time to time. However, this is the first time that BERC has increased the price twice in one month.
