Bashundhara Kings returned home after playing AFC Challenge League. Coach Javier Cabrera called 11 footballers from their squad to the national team today. 11 footballers have been asked to report to the Bangladesh team hotel tomorrow afternoon. Bangladesh team will play two friendly matches against Maldives on November 13 and 16 at King's Arena.
Earlier, Cabrera's announced partial squad started training from November 1. There were two goalkeepers in that squad. Two goalkeepers Zico and Shravan are among the other 11 footballers released today. A goalkeeper will be left out of the 23-man final squad.
Meanwhile, coach Javier Cabrera commented on the practice match, 'We played a practice match for two days. This was required before the Maldives match. We tried to play high pressing. I played the match for that purpose. That is fulfilled.'
Kings' 11 footballers called up to the national team are – Anisur Rahman Zico, Mehdi Hasan Shravan, Chandan Roy, Saad Uddin, Tapu Burman, Rabbi Hosne Rahul, Mujibur Rahman Johnny, Sohail Rana, Rakib Hossain, Sheikh Morsalin and Faisal Ahmed Fahim.
