There have been 5 cases against me, I have been jailed 5 times: Mirza Nazrul

BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir said, “I have had five cases against me. Various unrealistic allegations have been made. There are also complaints like burning of dirt, bombing. I've been in jail 3 times. I was imprisoned for almost three years. '

Mirza Nazrul said this in the BNP's public relations program at the high school grounds at Thakurgaon Sadar on Tuesday. He said that BNP chairperson Khaleda Zia was a prisoner for six years. Two of these were in the dark room for two years.

The BNP secretary general alleged that the Awami League government had been oppressing political opponents for five years, gave false cases and missed many leaders and activists. The Awami League government has sought to keep the people of Bangladesh silent, but the people have never accepted the wrong.

Mirza Nazrul said, “During the Awami League government, only 5 years have passed through cases and torture. But they could not suppress us. People all over the country are still against these wrongdoing. The government built a prisoner called a mirror, where political opponents were kept in prison day after day, even year after year. According to a UN observation, the number of such disappearances is about 1 thousand 5. Many leaders of our party were among those missing persons. '

Drawing on the context of former army officer Abdullah Hill Aman Azmi, Mirza Fakhrul said, “He was a talented army officer who was detained in the mirror for eight years. Many have not been found today. Our leader Elias Ali was picked up from his house, and no further search was found. '

Referring to corruption against the Awami League government, the BNP leader said, “It is alleged that about 2 million crore has been smuggled abroad. Get jobs and business, but the party identity has been seen. There has been extreme discrimination in the case of BNP supporters. '

In the context of the next election, the BNP secretary general said, “There has been no more fair elections in the country after 20 years. Today, those who are 8-20 years old have not been able to vote once in their life. This time there is an opportunity, we can all exercise the franchise together. '

Calling for unity between all religions and communities, Mirza Fakhrul said, “We want to make the country a beautiful, peaceful state. The goal of our proposed reforms is also not a difference, but a Bangladesh of unity. '

District BNP vice-president Sultanul Ferdous Chowdhury, general secretary Mirza Faisal Amin, joint secretary Paigam Ali and activists were present in the public relations program.
