BNP's Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir has expressed relief that all accused including BNP Acting Chairman Tarek Rahman have been acquitted in the August 21 grenade attack case. He said this relief in a statement sent from the United Kingdom on Sunday.
Mirza Fakhrul said, 'This verdict proves that the Awami fascist government accused Tariq Rahman in this case with political motives. He has been acquitted by the High Court after dealing legally with the charges brought against Tariq Rahman.
He said, “Through the historic judgment, it has been proved once again that all the cases brought against Tariq Rahman were political conspiracies.”
