The negotiation of a pact between Iran and the United States bothers the Netanyahu Government

Israel seeks a way to defend its position against a possible agreement between the United States and Iranwhich in principle would extend the truce that began on April 8. The Israeli Executive, which does not participate in the dialogue between both parties, follows from a distance a process that it observes with discomfort. The concern of the Government of Benjamin Netanyahu has been increasing after information emerged that suggests that fundamental objectives for Israel, such as the nuclear issue or the Iranian missile program, could be addressed in a second phase of talks. An extension of the ceasefire would also affect the Lebanese front, freezing the Israeli offensive on Hezbollah.
