The NCP is skeptical about the vote without implementing the July Charter

Prior to the next Jatiya Sangsad election, the National Citizens Party (NCP) again demanded the implementation of the National Charter and the new constitution. The party has said that if they do not receive these demands, there is doubt as to whether the NCP will participate in the election.

Akhtar Hossain, a member of the party, presented his position at a press conference yesterday at the temporary central office of the Jatiya Citizens Party in Banglamot. Joint convener Jabed Rasin, joint member secretary Mushfiq Us Salehin, Joynal Abedin Shishir, Zahirul Islam Musa, SM Saif Mostafiz, central organizer Arman Hossain were present at the press conference.

Akhtar Hossain alleged that many political parties were causing smoke on the implementation of the Charter in July. Demanding the implementation of the Charter in July, he said, “If the July Charter is not given the legal basis, the proposal to include the Constitution in the Constitution through the election of the People’s Council is not informed by the consensus commission, that the certificate will fail to hold the country’s desire for the country.” The failed certificate does not have any meaning to sign the NCP. ‘

“We have demanded the election of the People’s Council,” the NCP member secretary said. I call on political parties. The government will not be able to protect the country’s democracy if the government moves towards the election without implementing the new constitution and the July issues. Whether the NCP will participate in that election is the place of doubt. ‘

In this regard, Akhtar Hossain also said, “We think the people of the country will get new governance structure through the next election. If not, it does not mean to participate in the elections. ‘

Responding to the question of whether the NCP will participate in the election without basic reforms, Akhtar Hossain said that if the existing constitution is upheld, the fear of returning fascism in the country will remain. So the next election should be on the basis of the July Charter. For this, a new LFO (legal structure order) has to be made. If elections are held on the basis of a consensus on the new constitution, the NCP is ready to participate in that election.

Political parties have created uncertainty in the implementation of the July Charter by the release of the reform proposals by the demand for the Jatiya Sangsad. Commenting on the comment, the NCP member secretary said, “We are demanding the new constitution for this. The government can organize elections at any time, if the People’s Council is elected, it can also be organized in December. It will be possible to give a new constitution to the nation through that election. ‘

Akhtar Hossain alleged that the BNP objected to the legal basis for the July Charter. He has also objected to the addition of reforms to the new constitution. The question of how much the BNP actually accepts the reform proposals.
