In 1971, when the fierce war was going on in the battlefield, a group of young cultural workers fought a different kind of war. Their only weapon was music. Running from refugee camp to refugee camp in a truck, they inspired people to fight and struggle just by singing. The story of these activities of cultural workers has been revealed in a touching film, which is called Mukti Gun.
Artist Dhali Al Mamun's statement comes from the 1994 memoirs collected from the archives of the German news media/organization Deutsche Welle for the film. At that time the artist was in Germany. He also joined this collection work.
