General Secretary of Revolutionary Workers Party Saiful Haque called upon the interim government to avoid ambitious goals and take practical political initiatives, pointing out that various evil activities are continuing in the country and abroad to thwart the interim government. He also called for the announcement of a roadmap for a representative democratic political transition, including national elections, with the confidence of political parties and key stakeholders.
He said these things at the meeting of the National Council of the Revolutionary Workers Party on Friday (December 6) morning.
At this time, he called on everyone and said, 'The people of the country must retain the achievements of the July-August coup at any cost.'
He said, “Though there are differences in principles and ideals among the political parties of the country, all political parties and people are united for the sake of national interest, sovereignty and national security.” We have to maintain this unity for the sake of the country by being careful against any provocation.
Pointing out that there is no chance for the fascist forces to return to the Choragupta style, he said, “There is no chance for the rehabilitation of the fascist forces and their cronies who have fallen into politics except to face trial for genocide and 16 years of crimes and looting.”
Meanwhile, he expressed strong anger and condemnation of the massive attack and vandalism by anti-Bangladesh Hindu extremists at the Deputy High Commission of Bangladesh in Agartala, Tripura state, India. Narendra Modi government must bear the responsibility of these provocative violent activities, he said.
He said, 'West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee's call to send UN peacekeepers to protect religious minorities in Bangladesh and the country's ruling BJP's anti-Bangladesh exercise at Benapole border are completely provocative and against the sovereignty of Bangladesh. Mamata Banerjee's statement is a support for interference in the politics of Bangladesh.
He expressed his anger and said, “The BJP government and its party are systematically spreading false information and propaganda about the religious minorities of Bangladesh worldwide.” He also urged the Indian government and BJP to stop all activities of communal tension against Bangladesh.
