Saikat Arif, general secretary of the Bangladesh Student Federation, said that people are being created on opposition views in various ways. We did not see the trial of those incidents by the Mob. In these cases, the government is provoking Mob without taking the proper position.
The Bangladesh Student Federation staged a torch procession demanding a fair investigation and trial of the Jubo Dal leader Touhidul Islam in Comilla at the Raju sculpture of Dhaka University on Saturday (February 7th). He said these things at a brief rally before the procession.
Demanding the trial of extrajudicial killings, Saikat Arif said, “Touhidul Islam, the leader of the Jubo Dal, has died in a joint operation. We immediately demand a proper investigation and trial of the incident. At the same time, I demanded effective initiatives in investigating and trial of all the extrajudicial killings during the last fascist period.
Fatima Rahman Bithi, Vice-General of Bangladesh Student Federation, Shubh Deb, Publicity Secretary Mohabbat Hossain Milon, School Affairs Secretary Mehdi Hasan, Dhaka University convenor Armanul Haque, Dhaka city president Al-Amin Rahman were also present in the torch procession.
