BNP announced the outline of the national health sector reform. The goal of the National Health Services (NHC) in the UK's National Health Service (NHC) will be aimed at developing a 'public health system'. BNP standing committee member Khandaker Mosharraf Hossain presented the reform at a press conference held at the party chairperson's office in Gulshan yesterday.
Khandaker Mosharraf said the BNP (if elected) will take steps to ensure the right to health care free of charge.
In the meantime, this health care system will be developed in light of the prevailing system in the advanced welfare state as per the outline of their declared reforms. A member of the BNP standing committee also said that quality health care for the marginalized people of the country has not been confirmed today. Medical science education is not as planned. The country's medical system did not get the ability to competition at the regional and international level. The rate of going abroad to ordinary people is still high for medical care. Private health care system has not become public and public -friendly.
Khandaker Mosharraf Hossain highlighted the party's proposal, saying that the BNP will extend the social security bar for the poor people until the poverty is upheld in power in the future. In order to ensure primary and preventive health care, adequate trained women and men and rural workers will be arranged. The treatment, education and research facilities of infectious and non -communicable diseases will be ensured.
Khandaker Mosharraf Hossain recommended taking three steps for the development of the health sector. He said that the proposal has given a gratitude to the appointment of rural health assistant in the short -term (one to three years) plan. Upazila Health Complex has called for the quality of service and transform it into an effective primary reference center, ensuring necessary specialized services, planned family and population management. In accordance with the UK's GP (General Practitioner) system, arrangements will be made to provide the best health care at state expense under an area -based registered government physician. The existing district level hospital and specialized level healthcare will be strengthened and the correct reference system will be implemented. In addition, 24-hour helpline, emergency medical care, post-accident services, fast transferring, equality-based laws for both patients and services, are proposed to take effective measures for improving the relations of physicians and patients with the representatives of the society.
Khandaker Mosharraf Hossain highlighted the plans to change the entire health sector through 'medium -term' (one to five years) and 'long -term' (up to 5 years). Regarding its reform proposal in the health sector, he said, “We welcome the renovation initiative in the health sector of the interim government. We are presenting our proposal. However, we do not expect that they are capable of implementing these proposals or they will remain till then. '
The leader of the BNP also said, “We are presenting these proposals for the nation that if the interim government accepts these proposals and the people of the people will implement them in the future.” And if the people like the BNP and send it to the government in the next election, we want to reassure the people, we will try to implement everything we presented to the health sector reform. '
BNP Chairperson's Advisory Council Member Farhad Halim Donor, party health secretary Rafiqul Islam and BNP media cell coordinator Professor Moudud Hossain Alamgir Pavel were present at the press conference.
