Mobile telecom operator Grameenphone has signed an MoU with Ericsson to collaborate and innovate in AI and automation in Bangladesh. The memorandum aims to focus on innovation, growth and deployment of cutting-edge AI and automation solutions. This will be done through technical tests, workshops and pilot projects.
The MoU will coordinate with industry partners, regulators and government agencies to accelerate sustainable innovation and growth in the telecommunications sector across the country. The MoU was recently signed at the Innovate Asia 2024 event.
Grameenphone Chief Information Officer Niranjan Srinivasan said, 'This partnership is a major step towards realizing Grameenphone's telco tech vision. Both Grameenphone and Ericsson companies are now prioritizing AI. In that regard, the steps we have taken in technical cooperation will lead to a transformation and customers will get the best service.'
