Govt's Roadmap for Elections Prolonged: Rizvi

Ruhul Kabir Rizvi, Senior Joint Secretary General of BNP, said that the roadmap given by the interim government is a prolonged roadmap. People did not expect it.

He said these things after meeting the family of the martyrs in the student-Janata movement of '24 in Mohammadpur of the capital on Friday afternoon. 'We are BNP family' organized this event.

Calling upon the interim government to follow a balanced path, Rizvi said, if the interim government fails, the independence and sovereignty of the country may be endangered. History will not forgive any mistakes.

Rizvi commented that 'there will be no gain by playing tricks with BNP' and said that everyone has the right to form a political party. However, if the party is state-sponsored, the acceptance of the government will decrease. Participants in the democratic movement must respect the values of democracy. If the elected local representatives and all criminals join a political party under the influence of dictatorship, organize a party, it will be a party of criminals. He said that the people of Bangladesh are aware enough. But they do not hide their heads under the sand like ostriches. The government of the country where the fallen Sheikh Hasina has taken refuge is spreading misinformation against Bangladesh by influencing the media.

Rizvi also said that BNP has never retreated from agitation and struggle. Many have done many things; But BNP never achieved party interests. BNP is a party to be proud of every achievement of the nation. 1971, 1975 November 7, 1990 and 2024 popular uprising of BNP had a glorious contribution.

At that time, BNP family convenor Atiqur Rahman Rumon, BNP Central Co-Economic Affairs Secretary Mahmudur Rahman Sumon and many others were present.
