Adviser on Foreign Affairs of the Interim Government visited Portugal to attend the 10th United Nations Alliance of Civilizations (UNAOC) Global Forum. Touhid Hossain. He left Dhaka on Sunday (November 24) morning.
The forum will be held in the coastal city of Cascais from November 25 to 27.
UN Secretary General Antonio Guterres and Portuguese President Marcelo Rebelo de Sousa will address the opening ceremony of the forum sponsored by Spain and Turkey.
Officials of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs have informed that the Bangladesh delegation will be led by the Foreign Advisor at the forum. He will attend the forum titled 'United in Pitch: Restoring Trust Reshaping the Future Reflecting on Two Decades of Dialogue for Humanity'.
An official of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs said that the presence of Dhaka in the event is important to highlight the steadfast position of Bangladesh committed to global peace and humanity.
Discussions at the Forum will focus on important global issues of peace and security to build confidence in the consensus to build a harmonious future.
