BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir said, “In the last five years, every institution of the country has been systematically destroyed. But now we have the opportunity to build the country a new opportunity. ' He said this while addressing the chief guest at the final game and prize distribution of 'Mirza Ruhul Amin Smriti T20 Cricket Tournament' at Thakurgaon Shaheed Mohammad Ali Stadium on Friday afternoon.
Recalling the victims in the February 26 movement, Mirza Fakhrul said, “One thing we need to remember all the time – this country is mine, not anyone else. It is our responsibility to build a country. ' “We have to take oath in the field of sports,” he said, “We have to encourage, encourage, and take forward,” he said.
Highlighting the importance of the sport, the BNP secretary general said, “Sport is essential in the development of body and mind. It enhances confidence, creates attention and concentration. Increases immunity, the risk of heart disease is reduced. ' “Sport is not just exercise, it builds social relationships and makes young people creative,” he said.

Recalling the event, the BNP leader said, “I am now in the field of politics, but the mind is lying on the playground. Those who play sports are bigger in their minds. ' He said a stadium needs to be set up to organize an international quality game in Thakurgaon.
Referring to the new opportunity, Fakhrul said, “We have created a new opportunity – to build a democratic environment and establish a democratic state. All have to unite and build the country in a new way. '
Earlier, Mirza Fakhrul visited a university built under the supervision of ESDO in the small Khochbari area of Thakurgaon Sadar upazila. He exchanged views with party leaders and activists at the ancestral residence in the evening.
