The Election Commission (EC) has prepared an action plan ahead of the 13th National Assembly elections and referendum. Earlier, the commission had announced the action plan last July. EC could not complete many works on time as per the work plan announced earlier. Political party registration and demarcation of parliamentary constituencies were one of them.

According to the announced new action plan, gazettes of 300 parliamentary constituencies will be published on January 22; Another special meeting of the EC with law enforcement agencies will then be held on January 28; On February 1, the EC will allocate money to law enforcement agencies and appoint election officials as observers, and send ballots and election materials to the field on February 2-3. However, special instructions have also been given not to set up camps of law and order forces in the polling stations set up for voting.
