Dutch-Bangla Bank’s 2026 Managers’ Conference was held


Dutch-Bangla Bank PLC’s 2026 Managers’ Conference was held on January 24 and 25 in Dhaka. In this two-day long conference, besides reviewing the overall activities of the previous year, the strategies to achieve the business targets for the current year were decided.

The conference was presided over by the bank’s managing director Abul Kashem. sweet Managers of 243 branches of the bank participated in it. Apart from this, Deputy Managing Directors, Head Office Senior Executives, Heads of Departments and Clusters were also present.

The managing director said in his speech that the bank has achieved an operating profit of Tk 2,704 crore in 2025. He congratulated the branch manager and related officials for this achievement. He expressed hope that the branches which could not meet the target set last year will achieve the target this year through all-out efforts.

Abul Kashem Md. Shireen said, the bank should be more focused on expanding its business by using the largest online banking network, Fast Track, ATM, mobile banking, agent banking, POS terminal and Nexus Pay network effectively. At the same time, he emphasized on increasing the retail and SME business in addition to the corporate sector.

Abul Kashem urged to give the highest priority to customer service. Shirin said, the main strength and success of a bank is quality customer service. To ensure excellent service, it is essential that officers have a strong knowledge of their respective responsibilities, understand customer needs, and demonstrate empathy and humanity.

The branch managers who participated in the conference highlighted their problems and prospects and expressed strong commitment to achieve the 2026 budget targets.
