Awami League said in protest against the insulting of the brave freedom fighter in the month of victory

Joint General Secretary of Bangladesh Awami League has condemned and protested the incident of assaulting the brave freedom fighter Mr. Abdul Hai Kanuk (hero symbol) in the month of victory. F. Bahauddin Nashim. In a statement, he said, “The current illegal government of Bangladesh has held the state power by humiliating the great liberation war, the brave freedom fighters and through the monstrous destruction of important state institutions and facilities.”

A. F. M. Bahauddin Nashim also said, 'From August 5 till today, it is clearly evident in every step of this unelected fascist government that, by pressing the reset button and meticulously designing, the great liberation war, the symbol of our pride and pride, is taking steps to erase everything related to it. In order to avenge the defeat of Shakti in 1971, the brave freedom fighter Abdul Hai Kanu of Comilla's Chauddagram Upazila paraded around the area wearing a garland of shoes in the premises of Kuliara Government Primary School in broad daylight last Saturday (December 22). This is not the first attack on the liberation war, freedom fighters after the fascist Yunus government came to power. The house with which the history of the birth of Bangladesh is related, the house which the Pakistani invaders did not dare to attack, the history of the liberation war was proved through the burning and looting of the historical Bangabandhu Bhavan number 32, the main goal of this illegal government is to eliminate the freedom fighters.

Nashim also said, “If Mr. Kanura had not picked up a gun on that day and had not resisted after hearing the historic speech of the Father of the Nation, Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, 'Build a fort in every house and house', 'This time's struggle is a struggle for freedom', he would still be the clerk of our West Pakistanis today. I had to be happy. The independent land, a flag we have today is entirely due to the brave warriors like Abdul Hai Kanud. Those who gave up the illusion of their lives and jumped into the freedom war to give us political and economic freedom.'

Those who risked their lives to fight for the freedom of Bangladesh in 1971, such humiliation and torture cannot be tolerated in a free country. Individuals, groups, and even states do not have the authority to undermine the dignity of any citizen.

Joint General Secretary of Awami League said, 'One of the important responsibilities of the state is to properly protect the dignity of the individual. By defaming the hero Mr. Abdul Hai Kanu, the illegitimate Yunus government has once again proved that there is no rule of law in the country. Since August 5, you have seen how the country has been turned into a hub of mobs under state patronage. If there is a complaint against a person, there are laws, there are police, there are courts to take action. But today no law, court, lawyer is safe. Open looting, robbery, murder, assault on court premises are now very insignificant. The police chief is admitting the extreme deterioration of the law and order situation. The fact that the core of the spirit of the liberation war is constantly being hurt, it is clear how the Yunus government views the liberation war, the brave freedom fighters. Those for whom the independence of Bangladesh is practically trying to be erased.

In this month of victory, when a brave freedom fighter was insulted, he asked, 'Did I risk my life and fight for such Bangladesh? Today, Bangladesh is humiliated in the world. I call upon the entire nation to unite against the illegal occupation government which is harboring the defeated forces of the liberation war and trying to erase the liberation war itself.
