Ambassador Nabil Habashi, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs for Immigration and Egyptians Abroad Affairs, stated that this initiative came as a result of the efforts of Dr. Badr Abdel Ati, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Immigration, and a response from Engineer Sherif El-Sherbiny, Minister of Housing, Utilities and Urban Communities, in order to provide opportunities to obtain housing units that suit the housing needs of Egyptians abroad, and their price is paid in foreign currencies, which is in the interest of Egyptians abroad and at the same time contributes to increasing resources. State of foreign currencies.
The Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs concluded his statement that, in cooperation between the Ministries of Foreign Affairs, Housing, and Communications, a website is being launched for reservations in this initiative, through which the unit will be selected, and the allocation will come first in line with reservations, as reservations will be open for one month after the completion of these procedures. To apply for the initiative, when it is announced, the applicant must be of Egyptian nationality and have a bank account in his country of residence abroad that has been at least 6 months old. Every Egyptian abroad is also allowed to reserve a maximum of two units.
