Arab Finance: The Egyptian Stock Exchange ended the trading session today, Thursday, with mixed indicators. The main market index, EGX30 – which includes the 30 largest listed companies, closed with an increase of 0.08% at the level of 30,526.71 points.
While the EGX70 EWI for small and medium-sized stocks declined by 0.11%, closing at the end of the session at 8,410.64 points.
The broader EGX 100 index closed down 0.05% at 11,532.93 points.
Regarding the total value of trades, it amounted to 3.794 billion Egyptian pounds, with a total number of transactions amounting to 83,739 transactions.
The market capitalization of the Egyptian Stock Exchange at the end of trading reached 2.230 trillion Egyptian pounds.
The shares of 76 companies rose, while the shares of 89 companies decreased, and the shares of 43 companies remained unchanged.
In terms of transactions by individuals and institutions, data from the Egyptian Stock Exchange website showed that individual transactions accounted for 59.2% of total market trades, while institutions accounted for 40.79% of trades.
The data also indicated that Arab traders today accounted for 4.22% of total transactions, while foreign transactions recorded 24.87% and Egyptians 70.9%.
The total transactions of Arab and foreign investors were towards buying, with a total value of 91,570 million pounds and 148,163 million pounds, respectively, while the net transactions of Egyptians were towards selling, with a total value of 239,733 million pounds.
