Arab Finance: Engineer Mohamed Shimi, Minister of Public Business Sector, held two separate meetings to follow up on the developments of work in the Al -Nasr Fertilizers Company in Suez and Delta for fertilizers in Talkha, Dakahlia Governorate, which is affiliated with the Holding Company for Chemical Industries, according to Statement cabinet.
During the meeting of Al -Nasr Fertilizer Company, the Minister reviewed the current productive energies in the five factories of the company: nitric acid, sulfuric acid, ammonia, ammonia nitrate, and ammonia sulfate, in addition to the ages of ages and maintenance in the production units in order to maximize the benefit of assets, raise the efficiency of operation and increase productive energies.
The Minister also followed the project to rehabilitate the ammonia compressor, which is expected to contribute to doubling the production capacity of the ammonia factory from 200 tons/day to 400 tons/day, to ensure the coverage of the needs of the company's factories from the vital ammonia material, and in his weekly meeting, the minister continued the executive position of the project to revive and operate the Delta Fertilizer Company, which has stopped working for more than five years, where the valuable Umrah continues Ammonia and urea manufacturers are part of an urgent plan for maintenance and reform that include civil, electrical and mechanical works and the installation of the latest safety and environmental compatibility systems. The project aims to restore a production capacity of 1200 tons of ammonia / day and 1725 tons of urea / day.
Engineer Mohamed Shimi stressed that the state pays great attention to the fertilizer industry sector, as it is one of the vital pillars to achieve food security and support agricultural expansion plans, and we seek, through current development projects, to restore the historical leadership of national companies and enhance their competitiveness locally and globally, in a way that contributes to meeting the needs of the local market from fertilizers, increasing exports and enhancing the added value of the national industry.
The minister added that these projects come in this within the framework of the strategy of the Ministry of Public Business Sector towards maximizing the benefit of assets and returns and enhancing the productive and competitive capabilities of the subsidiaries and increasing their contribution to the national economy, explaining that these projects focus on modernizing factories and investing the latest technologies in production, and achieving the maximum benefit from the available resources and energies, with full commitment to safety, environment and sustainability standards.
It is noteworthy that Al -Nasr Fertilizer Company, was established in 1946 and is one of the most prestigious production and marketing companies, has great potential that qualifies it to expand its role in supporting the agricultural sector and exports. As for the Delta Fertilizer Company, it was established in 1998, emanating from Al -Nasr Fertilizer Company, and it works in the field of chemical industry, especially urea fertilizer, ammonia, solid, liquid, ammonia, and nitric acid.
