Satellite -based Internet Starlink has started commercial activities in the country. A formal journey was announced on Tuesday (May 27). The matter was reported in a Facebook post, Faiz Tayyab Ahmed, the special adviser. Deputy Press Secretary Abul Kalam Azad Majumder said in a Facebook post that the chief adviser congratulated all concerned.
Starlink is starting with two packages in the beginning. One is Starlink Residency and the other is residency lights. The monthly cost in the residency package is Tk 5,000, the cost of residency lights is 1,220 monthly. However, the Internet setup equipment will have to spend 1 thousand taka one -time. There is no data limit here. In a connection you can use up to 5 MB per second unlimited data.

Faiz Taib Ahmed said that although it was expensive, it has created a sustainable alternative to getting high quality and high -speed internet services for premium customers. Besides, in areas where fiber or fast internet services have not yet arrived, companies will get the opportunity to expand business. NGOs, freelancers and entrepreneurs will be guaranteed the internet of uninterrupted high speed throughout the year.
