Arab Finance: Ajiba Petroleum Company, in cooperation with success partners in the Egyptian General Petroleum Corporation and Eni, succeeded in expediting the development of a field Iris In the Western Sahara, which was discovered in the geological “mosque” layer, and this detection represents an important achievement in the exploration strategy in the areas adjacent to the current fields.
The company succeeded in achieving this achievement thanks to the newly conducted Sizesy September September, which was addressed at the headquarters of Eni, to take advantage of the latest technologies in this field, so that the results of the survey are announced immediately after the interpretation of the data by the Ajaba company team and work to benefit from the existing facilities to quickly put discoveries on the production map. The “Iris” field was immediately linked to the company's lines network, which achieved a quick link to the field, enhancing the success of the exploration strategy and the speed of benefiting from new discoveries.
The development of the field is currently being done through three productive wells that guarantee a stable production of 8500 barrels of oil equivalent daily, with a scheme to dig several additional wells during the coming period whose positions are determined according to the results of the current wells and tank studies.
The Iris field is a sign of the promising capabilities of the geological “mosque” class, and opens the way for more similar successes to the Iris field, as part of several regions currently being studied extensively.
In this context, Ajiba company works in cooperation with success partners in the Egyptian General Petroleum Authority and Eni to reach new unconventional geological layers in Western Sahara, with the use of the latest technologies to maximize the benefit from the underlying capabilities that are not yet discovered in a way that enhances the first axis of the Ministry of Petroleum strategy and mineral wealth for intensifying production and exploration activities to provide petroleum products to citizens and various sectors of the state.
