Facebook, Instagram and WhatsApp owned by Meta platform are down. Outage-tracking website downdetector.com reported the data.
Thousands of users around the world are facing this problem at 12 midnight on Wednesday.
According to downdetector.com, more than 10,000 users initially reported having problems accessing Facebook. Within 1 hour it increased to more than 1 lakh. In the beginning, more than 7,500 people faced problems while using Instagram. Later it increased to more than 64 thousand. More than 12 thousand users are facing problems using WhatsApp. Besides, more than 14,000 users are unable to use Messenger.
Downdetector shows big and sharp spikes for Facebook, WhatsApp, Messenger and Instagram, causing many to suffer.
When logging into Facebook, a message says, 'We're working to fix this as quickly as possible.'
Meta authorities were not immediately available for comment.
Mark Zuckerberg-owned Meta's services were disrupted in March and April this year due to technical issues. Facebook, Instagram and Threads were down for a few hours.
