The leaders and activists of Chhatra Dal, Juba Dal and Swachhasevak Dal have started a joint protest march towards the Indian Embassy. The march started on Sunday (December 8) from in front of the central office of BNP in Naypaltan of the capital.
Hundreds of thousands of leaders and workers of the three organizations came from different unions of the capital to join the march. They kept chanting anti-India slogans. In addition, the demand for the return of Sheikh Hasina was expressed from the march. The present leaders and activists also said that any Indian conspiracy to rehabilitate Sheikh Hasina will be stopped.
A short rally was held before the start of the march. Senior Joint Secretary General of BNP Ruhul Kabir Rizvi spoke as the chief guest.
Jubo Dal President Abdul Monayem Munna and General Secretary Mohammad Nurul Islam Nayan, Volunteers Party President SM Jilani and General Secretary Rajib Ahsan, Chhatra Dal President Rakibul Islam Rakib and General Secretary Nashir Uddin Nashir are present in the march.
Earlier, on Saturday (December 7) evening, Bangladesh Nationalist Chhatra Dal Office Secretary Md. A press release signed by Jahangir Alam informed about the march and memorandum distribution programme.
According to the notification, the march will start from the central office of BNP on Sunday morning to protest against the attack on the Assistant High Commission of Bangladesh in Agartala, India, the desecration of the national flag of Bangladesh and the conspiracy to create communal riots. A memorandum will also be given to the Indian Embassy at the end of the march.
