When the ambassador asked about the cyber security law, the information adviser said, 'The law will be repealed within a week and all the cases filed under this law will also be cancelled.'

Stating that not only this law, but all the laws that hinder the expression of opinion are being reviewed, he said, 'Decisions will be made in consultation with stakeholders in the case of reforms.'

Nahid Islam said, 'We got new Bangladesh through mass uprising of students. The fascist government has done many irregularities and corruption in the country for the last 16 years. The interim government has begun to rebuild the country. So that the country and its people can overcome the loss.' The adviser sought Norway's advice and cooperation in rebuilding the country.

Ambassador Haakon Arald Gulbrandsen said that Norway is ready to support the reconstruction of new Bangladesh by standing by the interim government.

Nahid Islam said that the government expects to strengthen relations with Norway as a development partner, as well as invest in the development of information technology and the development of media.

When the ambassador asked about the torture of minorities, Nahid Islam said that the minorities of Bangladesh are safe. During the last Durga Puja, special security measures were taken for them as well as extended holidays.

The adviser said that the previous fascist regime had indulged in political games with the minorities. They identified minorities as vote banks. However, even though major incidents of minority torture occurred during their tenure, they did not prosecute.

Nahid Islam requested the cooperation of Norway to spread the truth about the July mass uprising and various negative campaigns are being made in the outside world.
