Spain has been hit by severe flooding, with the Valencia region the worst hit. A number of La Liga matches this week have been postponed due to devastating natural disasters. Real Madrid's game was also on this list. Their coach Carlo Ancelotti did not want to talk about football in the press conference before the Champions League game tomorrow Tuesday.
At least 217 people have been killed and many are missing due to flooding in eastern Spain. Real's league match against Valencia on Saturday has been postponed due to the disaster.
According to Ancelotti, all matches in Spain this week should have been postponed. Atletico Madrid coach Diego Simeone and several players also said the same.
Ancelotti said: 'No one wanted to play, and that felt right to me. But we are not in charge, who can decide. There are many ways to help… even by stopping football.'
Real's Champions League game against AC Milan on Tuesday. Ancelotti won the competition for the Italian club in 1989 and 1990. He's supposed to be ecstatic, but he's in no mood to talk about football.
