CM Yogi Adityanath's cabinet took many important decisions on Monday. These decisions were directly related to the public. The change in teacher transfer policy was an important decision. Apart from this, there was also a change in the payment rules of gratuity.

Gratuity can be paid even without a nominee

The state government has approved the proposal to amend the Uttar Pradesh Retirement Benefits Rules 1961. Under this, if an employee dies while in service or after retirement without receiving the gratuity amount and he has not left behind any family nor has made any nominee, then in such a situation the gratuity will be paid to that person. This can be done by the person in whose favor the succession certificate has been granted by the court. Earlier, the gratuity money of such a person used to go to the government treasury. Giving information about the decisions of the cabinet on Monday, Finance Minister Suresh Khanna said that a big relief has been given regarding gratuity. Till now, if a government employee did not leave behind any heir or nominee, his money went to the government. Now if someone claims to be the heir, then he will have to bring the order or succession certificate from the competent court, then the gratuity money will be given. With this decision, thousands of unclaimed funds will get their heirs.
