22 terrorists including 6 soldiers were killed in the anti-terror operation in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Pakistan


Six soldiers and 22 terrorists were killed in clashes with terrorists in three districts of Pakistan's Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on Friday (December 6) and Saturday. ISPR, the media arm of Pakistan's military, gave the information. The country's media The Dawn has reported.

ISPR said in a statement that the army foiled an attempt to attack a security post by terrorists in Tal district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. Three terrorists were killed in the clash. However, during the intense firing, six soldiers sacrificed their lives and earned the status of martyrs. They are Sepoy Nizamuddin, Naib Subedar Mohammad Khaliq, Habildar Jadid Ali and Lance Naik Shahidur Rahman, Sifatullah, Wilayat Hussain.

Army killed nine terrorists in an intelligence-based operation in Gul Imam area of ​​Tank district. Six more people were injured in that operation.
In another operation in North Waziristan district, 10 terrorists were successfully disarmed, ISPR said. Operations are continuing in the area to eliminate the remaining presence of terrorists.

The ISPR statement said, Pakistan's security forces are committed to fighting terrorism. This sacrifice of our brave soldiers strengthens our resolve.
President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif in separate statements paid tribute to the security forces' success and martyrs in this anti-terror operation.

President Zardari said, this success of killing 22 terrorists is a big achievement of the security forces. This operation will continue until the terrorists are completely eliminated.

Paying tribute to the martyred soldiers, he said, the entire nation salutes the courage of those who sacrificed their lives in the fight against terrorists. Their sacrifice to protect our country is a matter of pride for the nation.

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif also praised the efficiency of the security forces and said, I and the entire nation pay respect to these brave soldiers who sacrificed their lives for the beloved motherland. He further said that the war against the monster called terrorism will continue till it is completely eradicated from the country. The entire nation stands with the security forces in this war against terrorism.

Recently there has been an increase in the number of terrorist attacks in Pakistan especially in Balochistan and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. These attacks have increased since the outlawed Tehrik-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) broke a ceasefire with the government in 2022.

At least 245 people, including 68 security personnel, were killed in terrorist attacks and clashes last November.
