Georgian woman Tamuna Museridze suspected herself to be an adopted child. He asked the mother whom he knew as his mother to know the details about this matter.
But that mother was very angry with Tamuna. In anger, he said, he did not give birth to anyone. He has no relation with Tamuna.
Tamuna was surprised to get such a reaction from her adoptive mother but was not hurt. But he did not stop here. Tamuna wanted to know how she was adopted. His mother could have given him another important piece of information—his father's name.
The search for Tamuna began in 2016. His adoptive mother died that year. He also opened a group on Facebook to find identity. Named the group, 'Vedzeb' or 'I am looking for'.
Tamuna's mission was to find her birth parents. In doing so, he discovers a massive child-trafficking scandal in Georgia that has been going on for decades. Many parents were told that their newborn child had died. And those children were later sold.
Tamuna is a journalist and has reunited hundreds of families through her work. But he still could not uncover the secret of his own life. He suspected that he too might have been stolen as a child.
A major breakthrough in Tamuna's search came one summer. Through a Facebook group, a person said they knew a woman who gave birth in secret in the Tbilisi region in September 1984. It was around that time, when Tamuna was also born.
Tamuna then started looking for the woman and made a post on Facebook. In no time, a woman said that the secretly pregnant woman was her aunt.
Tamuna now contacted the woman and offered a DNA test. DNA tests were also conducted at the end of this proposal. His real mother was forced to accept their blood relationship. Tamuna also convinces her mother to reveal her father's identity.
Tamuna learns that her father's name is Gurgen Khorava. He found out on Facebook – his father was in the friend list! For almost three years, Gurgen has seen Tamuna's identity-finding activities in this Facebook friendship many times. But he never understood that Tamuna is his daughter.
Father and daughter decided to meet after knowing their identity. When Tamuna reached the gate of Gurgen's house, she was quite calm. The 72-year-old Gurgen knew as soon as he saw her that this girl was his child. By talking they find a lot in common.
Gurgen was once a dancer with the Georgia State Ballet. Tamuna is also very happy to hear this. Because, his daughters also love dancing.
Interestingly, among Gurgen's other two daughters or his relatives, Tamuna looks the most like her father.
