Asif Mahmud Sajib Bhuiyan, Advisor to the Ministry of Youth and Sports and Local Government, Rural Development and Cooperatives of the Interim Government has warned that 'those involved' will not be exempted in the case of fire at Secretariat building number 7 in Segunbagicha of the capital. He gave this warning by posting on his verified Facebook account on Thursday.

The advisor wrote in the post, 'We were working on the corruption and corruption of the Ministry of Local Government, Rural Development and Cooperatives in the past. Evidence of looting of thousands of crores of rupees was also found. The amount of damage caused by the fire is not yet known.

Earlier at 1:52 PM, the fire service received the information of the fire in the building of the secretariat. After a minute or two, the fire service unit of the Secretariat started the work of controlling the fire. As the intensity of the fire increased, 20 units reached the spot and worked to control the fire.

The fire came under control at 8:05 am after six hours of effort. However, fire service personnel are working to extinguish the fire completely.

At the same time, the fire service worker who was injured by a truck while extinguishing the fire in the secretariat. Sohanur Zaman Nayan passed away. He is the son of Aktaruzzaman of Atpania village of Mithapukur police station in Rangpur. He is a member of Special Branch of Tejgaon Fire Team.
