Weather Forecast: The heat wave still persists in the surrounding plains including Delhi-NCR. Even after festivals like Diwali and Chhath, no significant drop in temperature has been seen. According to the Meteorological Department, no significant change in temperature is expected for a few days and people will have to wait longer to remove quilts and blankets.
Due to increasing pollution, there is fog in Delhi in the morning due to which people are facing problems like difficulty in breathing and burning sensation in the eyes. The Meteorological Department says that the people of Delhi will have to wait till November 15 for the cold.
Cold will knock in the last week of November
The wait for cold continues in the plains of Uttar Pradesh and Bihar also. The weather will remain dry for the next 5 days and there is a possibility of light fog in the morning. Although cold winds will blow in the evening, which will cause slight chill, but there is no possibility of any significant drop in the temperature. According to IMD, there is a possibility of increase in cold in UP and Bihar in the last week of November due to which fog is also expected to increase.
When will there be severe cold in Rajasthan?
The effect of cold winter is still not being felt in the western plains of Rajasthan. It is being told that winter is gradually arriving in the eastern part of the state. IMD says that despite good rainfall this year, the onset of winter has been delayed due to westerly winds and weak El Nino activities in the Pacific Ocean. Meteorologists estimate that the severity of cold may increase in the state from November 15 onwards.
Possibility of snowfall in hilly areas
Winter has knocked in the hilly states and in areas like Uttarakhand, there is a possibility of snowfall with light to moderate rain in the next few days. The Meteorological Department says that after November 16, western disturbance may become active, which will cause changes in the weather in the mountainous areas. Due to this, the effect of cold will increase by the end of November and snowfall may start in the mountains.
