UP By-Polls 2024 Result: Counting of votes for 9 assembly seats in Uttar Pradesh will take place today, Saturday, 23 November 2024. The results of these 9 seats will not have any impact on the ruling party Bharatiya Janata Party government in the state, but this election is being considered as the semi-final of the proposed assembly elections of 2027.

Voting was held on November 20 in Ghaziabad Sadar, Mirapur, Kundarki, Khair, Sisamau, Phulpur, Katehari, Majhwan and Karhal. There were also reports of sporadic violence in Kundarki, Meerapur and Kundarki during voting.

On the day of voting, Bharatiya Janata Party and Samajwadi Party fiercely accused each other. SP accused BJP of misusing the administration. Whereas BJP claimed that SP workers are committing hooliganism. SP demands that re-polling be conducted at 52 booths of Meerapur.

In this election, SP is contesting on all 9 seats, BJP on 8 seats and RLD on 1 seat.

Ghaziabad seat
There was also one seat Ghaziabad Sadar number 56 in the by-election of 9 assembly seats in UP. The total votes cast here were 461644 out of which 153747 votes were cast. Counting of votes will be done in the grain market of Govindpuram in Ghaziabad. 25 rounds of counting will be done to count the votes. There will be 21 machines in each round. If there is any deficiency in any machine then that machine will be counted last. Due to which the rounds will increase. The main contest is between Sanjeev Sharma of Bharatiya Janata Party and Singh Raj Jatav of SP. The total voting percentage was 33.30.

Phulpur assembly by-election vote counting
All preparations for counting of votes have been completed in Mundera Mandi for the counting of votes in Phulpur assembly seat located in Prayagraj. A total of 103 personnel have been deployed for counting of votes. 14-14 tables have been set up for counting of votes in 32 rounds. In the last round, counting of votes will take place on only one table. Counting of votes will start at 8:00 am. After this the results are expected by 2:00 pm. Strict security arrangements have been made in Mundera Mandi for counting of votes. EVM machines have been kept in the strong room under the three-tier security system. Magistrate has been put on duty for counting of votes. A ban has been imposed on carrying mobile or electronic devices inside the counting venue. A total of 12 candidates are in the fray for Phulpur assembly seat. In the voting held on November 20, only 43.44 percent people exercised their franchise. The main contest on this seat is being considered between BJP candidate Deepak Patel and Samajwadi Party candidate Mohammad Mujtaba Siddiqui.

Counting in 20 rounds on Sisamau seat
Counting of votes for the by-election on Sisamau seat of Kanpur will start tomorrow on 23 November at 8 am. There will be 20 rounds of counting of votes. The fate of the candidates is sealed in 275 EVM machines.
