It can also be tested using 'GFCI Testers'. However, this should not be the initial test system.
Regardless of the method you use, the GFCI will have to be repeated or changed if the reset button is not able to press the reset button. If you are fairly proficient in these tasks, you can easily do this test. However, sufficient caution should be taken in any small task of electricity.
