The recovered body parts of Anar, DNA matched with the girl

The DNA of his daughter Mumtarin Ferdous Doreen has been matched with the body parts of Anwarul Azim Anar, the former Member of Parliament of Jhenaidah-4 Constituency, who was murdered in Kolkata.

According to West Bengal CID sources, the DNA report confirmed that the flesh and bones recovered from the side of a canal and flat belonged to the former MP of Bangladesh. Both samples were sent to the Central Forensic Science Laboratory in India. The DNA of those two matched.

Doreen arrived in Calcutta in late November. A sample of his DNA was then taken. Both samples were then sent for verification.

It is learned that Anar's wife Yasmin Ferdous and brother Enamul Haque were called to give samples for DNA testing, but only his daughter came to Kolkata.

Former Member of Parliament Anwarul Azim Anar came to India on May 12. He stayed at the house of acquaintance Gopal Biswas in Baranagar, West Bengal. The next day, on May 13, he left Gopal's house for treatment. But on the same day and night, it was alleged that he was murdered in the 'BU-56' duplex flat in Sanjiba Garden, Newtown.
