Age has never been a barrier in the world of innovation. People of different ages have conquered the world with great ideas. There are 80-year-olds as well as teenagers. One such person is our Tamjid Rahman. At the age of 16, he created a blood donation app. The app called 'Blood Link' started its journey in 2023.
'Blood Link' responds in a very short time. That news quickly reached the international arena. Following this, Tamjid was named in the final list of 30 people for the International Children's Peace Prize (ICPP) of the Netherlands-based Kids Rights Foundation.
Before Tamjid, many people from Bangladesh made it to the award list. The International Children's Peace Prize was launched by the Netherlands-based organization 'Kids Rights' from a summit of Nobel Peace Prize winners held in Rome in 2005. 12 to 18 year olds are nominated for this award. The International Children's Peace Prize is awarded annually for outstanding contributions to the development and protection of children's rights. Malala Yousafzai received this award in 2013.
Why did Tamjid create the app named Blood Link – told in detail. He said that he saw the suffering of people for blood very closely. Those experiences of human suffering inspired him to create the app. Tamjid said, 'I am happy with its success. This will make our app more popular. More people will know about its use. It will benefit everyone.'

Blood Link creates direct communication between voluntary blood donors and recipients. This app is open to all for free.
This has made it easier for everyone living in remote areas and in emergency situations to get blood as needed.
So far more than 1 thousand 200 successful blood donors and recipients have taken service through it. Apart from this, it has been possible to save the lives of more than 500 children. About 950 active blood donors of the country are registered in Blood Link.
May Tamjid Rahman and his app Blood Link spread among all with this international award. Make Voluntary Blood Donation Program Easier.
