Story of Sahabi's contribution and sacrifice

Among the Companions, those who migrated to both Habsha and Madinah are called 'Sahibul Hijratain'. Hazrat Abdur Rahman Ibn Awf (RA) was one of Sahibul Hijratain. From Abyssinia he returned to Makkah. Then migrated to Medina.

A few days after his migration to Madinah, he married an Ansari woman. One day after marriage, he appeared in the service of Rasool (PBUH). Seeing the yellow stains on his clothes, the Prophet (PBUH) asked, 'Are you married?'

Abdur Rahman Ibn Awf (RA) said, 'Yes.'

Rasool (pbuh) asked, 'How much do you set for the marriage dowry?'

He said, 'Some gold.'

Rasool (pbuh) said, 'Do Walima even with a goat.' (Bukhari)

On the instructions of the Prophet (PBUH), he took over the responsibility of Walima.

Abdur Rahman Ibn Awf (RA) is one of those who received the good news of Paradise in his lifetime for his immense sacrifice for Islam. He accepted Islam at the beginning of his youth and was fully engaged in the propagation of Islam.
