In the speech of the chief guest of the discussion meeting of the founding anniversary of the National Democratic Party (JAGPA) at the Kazi Nazrul Islam Auditorium of the National Press Club of the capital this Monday morning. Referring to the past, Dr. commented that the bill brought by them was thrown away. Shafiqur Rahman said, we said, we wanted to return us to the people by giving us rights in the parliament. We will demand from the people and demand has been made. This time too we wanted it to end with a positive constructive debate within the Parliament. Let the aspirations of the people be reflected. But no! This Parliament has failed to understand and respect our aspirations. We have said so, now we are going back to the people from the parliament to implement the verdict of the people. The day after yesterday, the first program was implemented with the people. It’s the beginning. The movement that will develop through this, Insha Allah, will not be for any group, individual or group. It will be for 18 crore people.
Referring to all those who have had the opportunity to enter or have entered the current parliament as ‘oppressed’, this opposition party leader said that some of the parliamentarians have served jail time, some have been in the infamous mirror room, some have returned from the gallows. Some of them have returned from exile. Our current parliament is made up of such people. If this parliament does not understand the suffering of the oppressed people, then any parliament will understand? That would be a shame.
Amir of Jamaat commented that 54 years of fascism did not allow the Bangladeshi nation to move forward. He said that the fascism of 54 years was thrown into the Bay of Bengal by the revolutionaries of 24. He threw it into the drain. Who wants to bring it out of the sewer now? It is important to remember that this generation has proved that when this generation wakes up, there is no need for month after month and year after year of agitation. Their decision to fight back then is enough to send shivers down the spine of fascists.
Dr. Shafiqur Rahman said, we believe, this generation is rightly still against fascism. Their position is clear. We are with them. They are also with us.
He said, I promise dear Bangladesh blood price, life price, jail price – we will not let fascism come back no matter what price we have to pay, God willing.
Referring to the purpose of BNP and the structure of fascism, the member of Parliament Dr. Shafiqur Rahman said, the liquor will remain in place and only the bottle will be changed – we do not want that. These Zenjis of ours did not move here to remove one person and install another one. They did not fight to change the person and sex. They fought to change the establishment that had plunged this nation into fascism. This is our fight too. Therefore, to build a country and nation on the basis of justice and fairness, a party must first practice justice, justice and democracy within itself. Those who cannot practice democracy within their party, whose leaders and workers are not safe in the hands of their own leaders and workers, they cannot provide security to 18 crore people. They cannot give democracy to the people. They will not be able to give justice and insaf to the nation.
Dr. Shafiqur Rahman said that the people of 24 gave the right verdict. Maybe you can ask – if you got the verdict, then why couldn’t you form the government? Our judgment has been hijacked, robbed, people humiliated and already his crown witness has been found. Doves come again and again to eat rice and go away. But when the forehead is evil, it is tied in a net. Dove You have eaten the people’s rice once, don’t think of eating again. Now your bird, your wings, will be paralysed right in your tail. What is the evidence that the people voted for you? 70% of the people voted for ‘Yes’, this is the proof. We were for ‘Yes’, we are for ‘Yes’. We have shown and will continue to show respect for the Supreme Will of the people.
Referring to the 77 people who have entered the parliament on behalf of you (the people), he said, “We will also protect 77 18 crore people.” And I will also guard that no one can rob or loot inside the parliament with the forehead of the nation. We will not bow down to injustice and we will not make concessions to injustice. Our policy is clear that we will put up the walls of cooperation, support and protest against injustice, inshallah.
