The stock market is a boom today i.e. on Thursday (March 13). The Sensex is trading at 74,150 with a gain of over 100 points. The Nifty is up 23 points, trading at 22,494.
Of the 30 shares of the Sensex, 29 are rose and only 1 decline. Mahindra & Mahindra has a rise of 1.52%, 1.39% in Zomato and 1.36% in Airtel shares. Whereas, Kotak Mahindra Bank's stock is 0.12% below.
Out of 50 shares of Nifty, 38 are rose and 7 decline while 5 are trading without changes. All the sectoral indices of NSE is boom. Metal and government banks shares have the biggest rise.
Global market boom
- In Asian markets, Japan's Nikkei is doing 0.96% and Hong Kong's Hangseng index with a gain of 0.17%. Whereas, China's Shanghai Composite declines by 0.052%.
- On March 12, Foreign Investors (FIIs) sold shares worth Rs 1,627.61 crore. During this period, domestic investors (DIIs) bought shares worth Rs 1,510.35 crore.
- On March 12, the US Dow Jones fell 0.20% to close at 41,350. S&P 500 climbed 0.49% to 5,599 and Nasdaq Composite closed at 17,648 above 1.22%.
Wednesday was a minor in the stock market
On the third trading day of the week (Wednesday, March 12), the Sensex fell 72 points to close at 74,029. The Nifty fell by 27 points, it closed at 22,470 levels.
IndusInd Bank shares rose by 4.42% after Tuesday's major fall (27%). Tata Motors rose by 3.19% and Kotak Bank 2.37%. At the same time, Infosys fell by 4.18%, Tech Mahindra 2.80% and Nestle India 2.43%.
19 out of 50 shares of Nifty declined and 31 declined. The NSE's IT index was the highest 2.91%, 1.53%in media, 1.65 in realty and 1.08%in government bank. Private bank and pharma sector had a slight rise.
