Sterilink, a satellite-based Internet service company, has officially started its journey to Bangladesh. The company confirmed the matter in their X -handle on Tuesday (May 27).
Deputy Press Secretary Abul Kalam Azad Majumder said in a Facebook post that the chief adviser Professor Muhammad Yunus had congratulated all concerned on the occasion of the company's journey.
Initially, Starlink starts with two packages- 'Starlink Residence' and 'Residence Light'. The monthly cost of one of the two packages is 5 rupees, the other is 120. However, the cost of the equipment will have to pay a one -time cost of Tk 5,000. There is no data limit here. The user can use up to 5 MB per second unlimited data.
Starlink has said that customers of Bangladesh can order from today. The expectation of the journey was implemented within 5 days.
Meanwhile, Special Assistant Faiz Ahmed Tayyab, Special Advisor, said that although it was a bit expensive, it has created a sustainable alternative to high quality and high -speed internet services for premium customers. Besides, in areas where fiber or fast internet services have not yet reached, companies will have the opportunity to expand business. NGOs, freelancers and entrepreneurs will be guaranteed the internet of uninterrupted high speed throughout the year.
