Shakib Al Hasan has been banned from bowling in all competitions organized by the England Cricket Board. An independent test at Loughborough University earlier this month found his bowling action illegal. Such information has been given by the cricket related site ESPN Cricinfo.
Shakib played his only match for Surrey in the County Championship last September. His bowling was questionable in that match. The umpires accused his bowling action of being faulty.
Shakib will have to re-evaluate his bowling action to avoid this ban. His elbows should be bent within 15 degrees while bowling.
The ban came into effect on December 10, the day the ECB received the test report from Loughborough University.
Shakib played county cricket for the first time after the 2010-11 season. He took 9 wickets for Taunton Surrey in that match. At the end of the match, he heard complaints about the bowling action for the first time in his career.
