Allegations of not getting paid before the start of the match are abuzz on social media. The Global Super League is underway in Guyana. Guyana Amazon Warriors faced Rangpur Riders on Wednesday. Guyana's South African cricketer Imran Tahir made that complaint before entering the field against Rangpur. The leg-spinner has complained that he was not paid his full salary for the last season by BPL franchise Rangpur Riders.
Tahir spoke very emotionally during the toss. Said, 'I want to win the match for Guyana. There are personal reasons as well. Last year I played BPL for Rangpur. But still haven't received the full amount of the contract.'
He added, 'Guyana brought in some of their local players. Through which they will earn some money. But by playing good cricket they should show that we have better human qualities than Rangpur.'
Although Guyana eventually lost that match. Lost to Rangpur by 15 runs. By winning this match, they kept their hopes alive for the finals.
