New Delhi. Commerce and Industry Minister Piyush Goyal called for full integration of industry stakeholders with government platforms to improve efficiency of the logistics sector. He also urged the logistics industry to work on adopting sustainable and green practices to cut carbon emissions in the sector. “We have to adopt technologies like electric transport, biofuels, multimodal transport options to reduce the overall carbon impact and make sustainability the core of our thinking,” the minister said.
Emphasizing on skill development, Goyal called for collaboration with institutions to train and create a future-ready workforce. He said that by using artificial intelligence (AI) and 'data analytics' it can be ensured that there is no increase in time and cost.
